Before you fulfill your commitments, God will show you how to fulfill it. Corinth was a rich church, but Paul wrote to them how Macedonia was meeting his needs.
The grace of God was evident in the churches of Macedonia. This aroused in them the desire to give alms.
Even in your need, your mercy will enable you to give beyond your ability.
The Macedonians in their tribulation, trails and poverty, “their abundance of joy and their poverty, (together) have overflowed in the wealth of lavish generosity on their part.”
