New testament church had zeal and urgency to preach the word of God and save others because they were persuaded beyond unbelief that Jesus is coming. New testament church strongly preached about the importance of holiness, sanctification, the word of God, prayer. So that they were prepared daily for the sudden coming of Jesus. Are you really prepared for the coming of Jesus Christ?
f you believe that Jesus is coming then sin will not be an issue to you. As you would not want to disobey God’s word and live in sin. Always be alert in prayer because you do not know the day or the hour of Jesus coming. The way we prepare is not to do nothing but the way we prepare for the Jesus is to be doing what He has called us to do with all our hearts and at the same time be ready to go to Heaven.
You plan to live for 100 years, but you live daily as if it’s your last day on earth. Prepare yourself for Jesus is coming. Communion should remind you, not only what Jesus has done, but also that He is coming.
Quickly for the Lord is different from our definition of quickly, as His days/timetable is different from ours. However, it’s every generation’s responsibility to be prepared for his coming.
